Charles Leslie Ogle Jr. 1927-1984

Charles Leslie Ogle Jr., son of Charles and Verna Steward Ogle, was born in Richland, Missouri on November 11, 1927 and departed this life September 13, 1984 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 56 years.

Charles was united in marriage to Minnie Belle Wagner March 15, 1947, and to this union was born three daughters, who survive.

He was baptized and became a member of the Eureka Baptist Church November 14, 1939 and has remained a member there.

Charles has lived most of his life in the Richland area and worked as a self-employed electrician. He served his country in the United States Navy from November 21, 1943 until January 7, 1946.

He is survived by three daughters, Debra Dowdy and Linda Hage, both of Stoutland, and Judy Poth of Hicksville, Ohio; his mother, Mrs. Verna Ogle of Mt. Vernon Nursing Center; one sister Mrs. Rosalyn Thomas of Greenfield, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his father, and one brother Paul.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 15, 1984, under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapel at the Stoutland Christian Church. Minister Rev. Frank Lohr officiated.

Burial was in the Dowty Cemetery with Escorts: Jerry Sheeley, Tennis Ogle, Tony Jude, Ralph Ogle, Dennis Ogle, E.C. Alford. under direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels.
