Aug. 17, 1929, in Miller County, a son of Lonnie and Sarah Shelton
Colvin. He was married Sept. 25, 1951, in Tuscumbia, to Billie Ann
Moffitt, who survives at the home.
He was a member of Pleasant Christian Church, Iberia. He was a veteran
of the Korean War. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 6167, Iberia;
and Harry Herron Disabled American Veteran Post, Waynesville. He had
been employed in Civil Service at Fort Leonard Wood as a heavy equipment
operator. He retired in 1979.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Peggy Layman, Crocker, and
Kathy Duncan, Iberia; two brothers, Dalla Colvin, Iberia, and Dennis
Colvin, Crocker; one sister, Delores Colvin, Macks Creek; five
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crocker Christian Church. Bro.
Rick Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday at Crocker Christian Church.
Memorials are suggested to Lake Ozark Hospice, Crocker.
Arrangements are under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home.
