Janet Sue Shunamon, of Dixon, was born January 8, 1958, in Albion,
Michigan, a daughter of John and Ila (Kutzli) Jones, and departed this
life at 4:06 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, in the University of Missouri
Hospital and Clinics, Columbia. Janet had attained the age of 54
years, 3 months, and 12 days.
Janet was united in marriage on May 22, 1982, in Hawaii, to Wayne Earl Shunamon. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janet was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for three years, a member
of the Quilters Guild and a past president of Kickapoo Trace
Muzzleloaders. She was a devoted homemaker and loved camping, fishing,
and being outdoors.
Those left to mourn the passing of Janet include: Her husband Wayne
Shunamon, Dixon; two sons, Jason Camp, Des Moines, Iowa; and Terry
Shunamon, Dixon; one daughter, Jessica Camp, Corning, Iowa; four
brothers, Mike Jones, Charleston, North Carolina; John Jones, Front
Royal, Virginia; Tom Jones, St. Robert; and Bob Jones Gainesville,
Georgia; one sister, Pat Mamenga, Conesville, Iowa; and many other
relatives and friends.
A time of remembrance was held for Janet from 5 – 7 p.m., Tuesday,
April 24, 2012, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon.
