Pauline Mitschele, of Crocker, was born on December 24, 1925, at
Richland, a daughter of Harvey H. and Myrtle (Greenstreet) Mitschele,
and departed this life at 2:15 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at her
residence near Crocker. Pauline had been in failing health for some
time and had attained the age of 86 years, 1 month and 8 days.
Pauline was preceded in death by her father in 1954; her mother in 1990;
three brothers, Tommy Mitschele, Phillip Mitschele and John “J.O.”
Mitschele; one sister, Marie Holdren; and a special brother-in-law, Bob
Frazier.
Pauline was baptized on August 13, 1944 in the Dean’s Creek
and was a lifetime member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church, Richland. She
graduated from Stoutland High School and then moved to St. Louis where
she went to work for Small Arm Ammunition. She later went to work for
the St. Louis Co. National Bank as a teller and worked her way up to
branch manager, retiring after 34 years of service, when she returned to
Crocker and made her home with her sister and brother-in-law, Bob and
Edith Frazier. Pauline enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, canning
tomatoes, tending to her rose bushes and many outside flowers, quilting,
embroidering and spending time with her family and friends.
Those
left to mourn the passing of Pauline include: her sister, Edith Frazier,
Crocker; special niece, Roberta Thornsberry, Crocker; two
sisters-in-law, Doris Ann Mitschele, state of Texas and Pauline
Mitschele, Richland; nephews; nieces; cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Pauline at 11:00 a.m., Saturday,
February 4, 2012, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with
Rev. Shirley Williams, pastor of the First Christian Church, Eldon,
officiating. “Precious Memories”, “Take My Hand Precious Lord”, “Wind
Beneath My Wings” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” were played for
the service.
Interment was in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Richland, under
the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation
Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Pauline were Jack Holdren, Clinton
Jerome, John Flynn, William Robert Holdren, Roy Gene Mitschele, Terry
Lee Mitschele, James Alvey Mitschele and Alfred Zeigenbein. Honorary
pallbearers were John Holdren, Joe Holdren, James Greenstreet, Dale
Mischer, Estel Becker, Frank Richter, Paul Richter and Allen Mitschele.
Memorials are suggested by the family to the Elm Grove Cemetery
Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel
Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker.
