Janie Mae (Nelson) Trout, daughter of the late Ray and Lucy Ellen
(Riley) Nelson, was born on August 13, 1924 in Vichy, Missouri where she
grew up and attended school.
On February 11, 1946, Janie was united in marriage to Ralph Trout
in Waynesville, Missouri. They shared over 47 years of marriage
together and were blessed with three children: Shirley, Ruby and Jay.
Ralph preceded Janie in death on November 21, 1993.
Janie worked at and retired from Rices Cleaners of Waynesville.
She also provided child care for many area families over the years.
She was a talented quilter and enjoyed canning, spending time outdoors and especially gardening.
Janie passed away at 9:50 P.M. Friday, October 29, 2004 in the
Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital of Marshall, Missouri at the age of 80
years, 2 months and 16 days.
Janie will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by one
daughter: Ruby Finnley of Marshall, MO; three sisters: Lorene Buckley of
Jefferson City, MO and Marie Jordan and Nina Rieks both of St. Louis,
MO; one brother: James Nelson of Jefferson City, MO; three
grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janie was also preceded
in death by her daughter, Shirley Trout on December 5, 1994 and her son,
Jay on February 16, 2002.
Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 5 at
Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Graves officiating.
Pianist, Becky Lercher sang, "Amazing Grace and "In the Garden.
Burial was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested in memory of Janie Trout and may be left at the funeral home.
