Montana Hawk Parsons 1993-2010

Montana Hawk Parsons, 17 of Kirksville, formerly of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010, at the University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Montana was born September 27, 1993 in Rolla, Missouri to Al Donald Parsons II and Leslie Ann (Polk) Jarboe. He grew up in the Laquey area and attended school.

Montana met his fiancée, Amber and moved to Kirksville to be near her and was looking forward to the birth of their first child.

While in Kirksville, Montana began working in the horse stables. He enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball. In recent years, you could find him either riding a horse on a trail, a dirt bike, or a four wheeler. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Montana loved being outdoors.

Montana will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée: Amber Alexander, and baby on the way: Montana Hawk Parsons of Kirksville; his mother: Leslie Jarboe of Laquey; his father: Al Parsons II of Laquey; grandparents: Al Parsons (Debbie Crawford) of Waynesville; Sally Polk of Crocker and Al Polk of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother: Cody Jarboe of Richland; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Montana was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Parsons.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Rev. Danny Graves officiating. Coach Marcus Davis and Montana’s cousin Taylor Buescher recalled their wonderful memories of Montana. The songs “I Can Only Imgaine”, “I Miss You” and “If I Die Young” were played. Serving as escorts were Cody Jarboe, Preston Cook, Luke Harding, Taylor Buescher, Grace Lumbreras, Jordan Hicks, Billie Hicks, MaKenzie Buescher, Ryan Ferdig and Cameron Fagré.

Burial followed in the Idumea Cemetery of Laquey, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
