Otis Leroy Murry, son of the late Cletus and Mertie (Mock)
Murry, was born February 19, 1920 in Cherryville, Missouri where he grew
up and attended Henry Eaton School.
On November 4, 1949, Otis was united in marriage to Pearl Agnus
"Bunchie" Baldridge in Mtn. Home, Arkansas. They shared over 51 years of
marriage together. Bunchie preceded him in death on July 16, 2001.
During his working years, Otis was employed on Fort Leonard Wood
working with Bruce Debo fixing frames on houses before he began working
on his own doing the carpentry work while remodeling homes. In his
spare time, Otis enjoyed working with hands and spending time with his
family and friends.
Otis passed away the evening of Saturday, March 4, 2006 in his home at the age of 86 years and 13 days.
Otis will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by one brother:
Lawrence Murry of Waynesville; three sisters: Mable Bell and Nettie
Halbert of Cherryville, MO and Rose Fern Parker of Dixon, MO; several
other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Otis was preceded in death
by two brothers: Everett and Lewis Murry and four sisters: May, Larie,
Pearl and Dolly.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 7, 2006
in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Danny Graves
officiating. Serving as escorts were Sam Crawford, Christopher
Etheridge, David Etheridge, Garry Fincher, Pat Fincher and Arron Kraton.
Serving as honorary escort was Bill Inman. Services were under the
direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.
