Leona Jean Ferguson Burnett 1929-2010

Jean Burnett, 81, Crocker, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in the General Leonard Wood Army Hospital, Ft. Leonard Wood.

Survivors include: one son, Rick Burnett, state of Connecticut; two daughters, Vicki Burnett, Rolla and Billi Jo Stethem, Texaco, Illinois; and two grandsons.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, in the Crocker Christian Church. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Crocker, MO.

Edna E. (Ferguson) Logan 1898-1984

Mrs. Edna E. Logan, 85, Crocker, died Saturday at the Miller County Nursing Home.

She was born October 29, 1898 at Hawkeye, a daughter of Frederick and Effie Lawson Ferguson. On April 7, 1919, she was married to Homer T. Logan, who died December 12, 1964.

Mrs. Logan was a member of the First Baptist Church, Crocker, and of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Iberia. She was employed as a cook.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Stella Keyes and Mrs. Clara Mae Pearson, both of Iberia.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Stevenson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia, with the Rev. Haskell Orrick officiating. Burial was in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Richland.

***Mrs. Logan passed away February 18, 1984 according to Tombstone Inscriptions of Pulaski County.

James "Jim" Dwight Bomar 1932-2010

James Dwight Bomar, of Crocker, was born on May 22, 1932, at Paragould, Arkansas, a son of Enos Bert and Zettie (Ferguson) Bomar and departed this life at 3:05 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2009, in the University Hospital and Clinics, Columbia. Mr. Bomar had attained the age of 77 years, 7 months and 8 days.
 
Mr. Bomar was united in marriage to Donna Jean Dunn. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Thomas Bomar, Aubry Bomar, Doyce Bomar and Russell Bomar; six sisters, Verlie Compton, Mae Beckwith, Nancy Cline, Polly Dortch, Margie Benson and Almera DePotty.
 
Mr. Bomar accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the age of 12 years while living in Paragould, Arkansas. He served two years in the United States Marine Corp; he was a retired member of the Pipe Fitters Local 562, St. Louis; the Oddfellows Lodge 108 and the Waynesville Masonic Lodge No. 375 A.F. & A.M.
 
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Bomar include: his wife, Donna Bomar of the home in Crocker; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle and Rita Bomar and Craig and Jill Bomar, all of Crocker; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kala and Richard Frye, Manhattan, Kansas; Cindy and Paul Nedzweckas, St. Robert; eight grandchildren, Timothy and Jennifer Nedzweckas, Amie, Anthony and Nathan Frye, Heather, Bailey and Sadie Bomar; one sister, Virginia Hatman, Paragould, Arkansas; numerous nephews; nieces; extended family members and friends.
 
Masonic services were conducted for Mr. Bomar at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2010 with a memorial funeral service immediately following in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Crocker, with Bro. Billy Claiborn, Hilltop Christian Union Church, officiating. “Amazing Grace”, “Peace In The Valley”, and “The Old Rugged Cross” were played for the service.
 
Honorary pallbearers for Mr. Bomar were Duke McVey, Jon “Choochoo” Johnson, Don Humphrey, Charles “Frenchie” Maurice, David Spurgeon and Donnie Schaeffer.

Clyde Evertt Roberts 1912-1984

Clyde Evertt Roberts, son of Charley and Myrtle Bell Ferguson Roberts, was born August 3, 1912 in Hancock, Missouri and departed this life May 20, 1984 at his home in Richland, at the age of 71 years.

He was united in marriage with Bernice Fritts, July 1, 1936 and to this union was born one daughter, who survives.

Clyde professed his faith in Christ and was baptized at an early age, becoming a member of the Dublin Church. He later moved his membership to Grace Baptist Church where he remained a member.

Clyde and his family lived in Richland most of his life, however they made their home in Springfield for several years, where Clyde was employed as a driver for Springfield Refrigeration Company and for White Castle Cleaning. In 1961 he returned to Richland and spent the remainder of his life. While in Richland Clyde owned and operated Robert’s Cleaning Service, was employed at Fort Leonard Wood, at Payne Chevrolet, and operated the Highlander Laundry Mat for several years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and being with his grandson and granddaughter.

Clyde is survived by his wife Bernice, one daughter Shirley Carroll of Richland; one sister Ruth Osborn of Kansas City, Missouri; one granddaughter, Tammy and one grandson Ricky, both of Richland; as well as other relatives and a host of many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clifford and Cleo, and one sister Mary Roberts.

Services for Clyde E. Roberts were held Tuesday, May 22 1984 at 11:00 a.m. at the Colonial Funeral Chapel. Officiating at the services was Lee Todd. Music was provided by Dwight Roam, soloist and DeLores Shadel, organist. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Escorts were: Dale Fritts, Gene Fritts, Leroy Jeffries, Bill Goforth, George Nelson, and Dorel Eaken. Under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel of Richland, Missouri.

Edna E. Logan 1919-1964

Edna E. Logan, age 85, of Crocker died Saturday, February 18 at the Miller County Nursing Home in Tuscumbia, Missouri.

Logan was born October 21, 1898 at Hawkeye, Missouri. She was the daughter of Frederick and Effie Lawson Ferguson. She was married April 7, 1919 to Homer T. Logan. Mr. Logan passed away December 12, 1964.

Mrs. Logan was a member of the Crocker Baptist Church and the Iberia American Legion Ladies Auxilary.

She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Stella Keyes and Mrs. Clara Mae Pearson, both of Iberia.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 20 at the Stevenson-Mossman Funeral Home of Iberia, with the Reverend Haskell Orrick officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn cemetery in Richland.
