Jack Bensing Wientge, Jr., of Dixon, was born on May 3, 1964, at
Kirkwood, Missouri, a son of Jack Bensing, Sr. and Delores May (Krumrey)
Wientge and departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2012, in the Phelps
County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Jack had attained the age of 47
years, 11 months and 6 days.
Jack was preceded in death by his mother on June 23, 2003 and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jack was a United States Army veteran and a member of the Lambeth
Church, rural Vienna. He had worked in St. Louis County installing
irrigation systems. Jack enjoyed motorcycles, restoring old cars,
collecting artifacts, being on the water and music.
Those left to mourn the passing of Jack include: his father and
step-mother, Jack B. and Carol Wientge, Sr.; his sister, Deanne Wientge,
Marblemount, Washington; fiancé, Sharon Hutchison, Vienna; and many
other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Jack at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April
15, 2012, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Bobby
Williford, First Baptist Church, Dixon and Pastor Bob Elfrink, Sullivan,
officiating.
Interment with full military honors was in the Missouri Veterans
Cemetery, Fort Leonard Wood, on Monday, April 16, 2012, under the
direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services,
Dixon. Honorary pallbearers for Jack were Jeff Dempsey, Stanley Krumrey,
Jr., Leroy Krumrey, Sam Krumrey, Kevin Barnes, Chuck Howerton, Tom
Wakeland and Pat Reckington.
Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family in memory of Jack
Bensing Wientge, Jr. with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel
Funeral Home, Dixon.
