Larry Doyle Stokes 1916-2004

Larry Doyle Stokes, 87, of Crocker, died June 13, 2004, in the Sunset Village Care Center, St. Robert. He was born February 14, 1916, in Hancock, a son of Thomas and Maude Slavens Stokes. He was married September 17, 1944, at Crocker to Velma Alice Whittle, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include: three sons, Jerry Stokes, Springfield, Donald Stokes and Thomas Stokes, both of Crocker; two daughters, Jeannie Stokes, Seattle, Wash. and Nadine Breunig, Reeseville, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, in the Long Funeral Home, Crocker. Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, in the Long Funeral Home, Crocker.
