Lena Agnes Dambach, of Fulton, formerly of Dixon, was born on January
21, 1930, at Bardstown, Kentucky, a daughter of Hubert and Gladys Muriel
(McNabb) Murphy, and departed this life at 4:37 p.m., Thursday,
September 23, 2010, in the Boone Hospital, Columbia. Mrs. Dambach had
attained the age of 80 years, 8 months and 2 days.
Mrs. Dambach was
united in marriage on April 16, 1946, in Bardstown, Kentucky, to Norman
Cecil Dambach, and to this union, three daughters were born. She was
preceded in death by her husband on September 3, 1987; one daughter,
Sarah Ann Bartlett, on February 9, 1977; her father on February 18,
1941; her mother on January 7, 2001; one great-granddaughter, Shelby
Dailey, and one sister, Francis Clair.
Mrs. Dambach was a member of
the First Baptist Church, Dixon. She and her husband had owned and
operated Dan's Family Room and Dambach Café, both in Dixon. She enjoyed
quilting, embroidering and reading as well as being a loving and devoted
housewife and homemaker.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs.
Dambach include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Bill Roberson,
Dixon and Joyce and Don Dailey, Fulton; one brother, Charles Ray Murphy,
Bardstown, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Terri Schaffer, Dennis and
Chris Roberson, David Wiseman, Norman Dailey and Don (DJ) Dailey;
fourteen great-grandchildren, Sarah and Abigail Schaffer, Haley, Tyler
and Taylor Roberson, Macey, Aaron, David Lee, Jr., Bailey and Clayton
Wiseman, Teagan, Sophia, Brooklin and Tatum Dailey; five step
great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral
services were conducted for Mrs. Dambach at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday,
September 28, 2010, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral
Homes with Pastor Helen Winters, Seaton Faith Fellowship Church, Dixon
officiating. Two hymns, "Precious Memories" and "Amazing Grace" were
played for the funeral service.
Interment was in the Fox Crossing
Cemetery, near Dixon under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin
Funeral Home, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Dambach were David Wiseman,
Norman Dailey, Don (DJ) Dailey, Don Dailey, Dennis Roberson and Chris
Roberson.
