Rebecca Wilcox-Sanchez 1966-2008

Rebecca Wilcox-Sanchez, daughter of Juan R. and Maria (Perez) Reyes, was born October 9, 1966 in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, California. At the age of 18, Rebecca moved to Missouri.

Becky, as she was known by her family and friends, was blessed with two daughters: Rachel Leah Yracheta and Marilyn Marie Wilcox.

Becky worked for a time at Ramada Inn in St. Robert, Missouri and was awarded Employee of the Year. She also worked at the Good Samaritan Store in Waynesville, Missouri and was currently employed as a server at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Becky loved to be outdoors; whether it was hunting, fishing or camping. She enjoyed all sports and especially enjoyed her special times at the beach. She loved to help other people and known for her caring heart. Most importantly, she treasured the times that she could spend with her family and friends.

In 2004, Becky accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was a faithful member of the Amazing Grace Fellowship Church of Richland.

Becky passed away at 5:30 A.M. Saturday, April 19, 2008 in her home at the age of 41 years, 6 months and 10 days.

Becky leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters: Rachel Yraetta of the state of Florida; and Marilyn Wilcox of Richland, MO; her parents: Juan & Maria Reyes of Richland, MO; five sisters: Lydia Oropeza of Nipomo, CA, Ophelia Dunn of Los Angeles, CA, Connie Vasquez of San Luis, CA, Betty Perez of Phoenix, AZ and Sonia Valdez of Santa Maria, CA; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in the Amazing Grace Fellowship Church of Richland, MO with Pastors Richard and Debra Harris officiating. Debra Harris and Crystal Shadey sang Amazing Grace, Mighty Is The Cross and In His Presence. Serving as escorts were Jacob Valdez, Matt Johnson, Morgan Martinez and Chad Johnson. Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Waynesville, MO. Services were under the direction of the Richland Memorial Chapel.
