Pamela Rae Walsh 1950-1986

Pamela Rae Walsh of rural Richland, departed this life May 21, 1986, having attained the age of 35 years, 10 months, 18 days.

Pamela graduated from Waynesville High School.  She was a loving child with many friends, and loved by all.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pamela is survived by her loving husband, george; one daughter, Michelle Martin of Waynesville; parents, “Slim” and Ruth Harrell of rural Richland; one brother, Shane Harrell of the home; three sisters, Betty Montgomery of Chaffee, Missouri; Patricia Harrell, and Sharon Martin, both of San Jose, California, relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Friday, May 23, 1986 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. in the Waynesville memorial Chapel.

Memorial services were held Saturday, may 24, 1986 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, St, Robert, Missouri with Monsignor Jerome Sommer officiating.  Escorts were:  Robert Gary Brown, Jim Buente, Tom Frazier, Butch Mayor, Larry Mayor, and Brad Thompson.  Honorary escort was James Martin.

Interment was in the Resurrection Cemetery, St. Robert, Missouri under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Nadia Marie Veres 1984-2012

Nadia Marie Veres, 27 of Springfield, MO, formerly of St. Robert, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 in her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery of St. Robert. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.

Ms. Veres is survived by her mother: Donna Veres of St. Robert, MO; her father Martin Veres of St. Robert, MO; one sister: Sonia Veres of Springfield, MO; one niece; one nephew; other relatives and friends.

Vivian June Pemberton 1928-2012

Vivian June Pemberton, daughter of Edward Martin and Marion Carol (Lattiak) Station, was born June 4, 1928, in Chicago, IL. She departed this life Friday, April 27, 2012, in the Saint Alexius Hospital, in St. Louis, MO at the age of eighty-three years, ten months and twenty-three days.

On June 4, 1949, she was united in marriage to Clay Pemberton and to this union eleven children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, JoAnne; and two sons, Jim and Jack Pemberton.

Vivian is survived by her children, Joyce Douglas of Urbana, MO, Jeff Pemberton of St. Louis, MO, Jeannette Pemberton of St. Louis, MO, Joseph Pemberton of Springfield, MO, Jacqueline Pemberton of the State of Missouri, Mary Nelson and her husband, William of Richland, MO, Judy Pemberton of St. Louis, MO and Jayne Pemberton of St. Louis, MO; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Station and wife, Eleanor, of Woodstock, IL; and her sister, Charlotte Pemberton of Richland, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was born in Illinois and resided there during her childhood. She met and married and for many years of her life lived in Chicago, IL raising her family. In 1973 she moved to Richland, MO for a few years and later relocated to St. Louis, MO where she was currently residing. Throughout her life she was a homemaker caring for her family. Vivian also worked as a certified nurses’ aid in home health care.

Vivian was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Louis. She loved volunteering for the church and helping the homeless. She worked at the soup kitchens and was always ready to give a helping hand to those in need or speak a word of encouragement.

She loved to read and had great thirst for knowledge. Visiting and sitting outside enjoying the outdoor gave her great pleasure.

Vivian was a loving and devoted mother, a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and a precious sister and aunt. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

Funeral mass was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with Father John Groner officiating. Organist Evelyn Horine led the congregation in musical responses. Serving as escorts were Dominique Pemberton, Roy Hubbard, Jeremiah Hubbard, William Nelson, William Williams, Tracy Wright and Randall Pemberton. Burial followed in the Resurrection Cemetery of St. Robert. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.

Frank Joseph Bogad 1922-2011

Frank Joseph Bogad, son of Michael and Emma Bogad was born January 30, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri.

“Frankie” as he was best known to his family and friends was baptized as an infant into the Holy Catholic Church . He attended school and worked in the family plastering business “Bogad Plastering” all through his youth.

Frankie entered the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. What he lacked in size, he made up in desire and dedication to serve his country. Many times he stated that they had to “stretch him to get him in.” He was so very proud of his military service during the War. He remained a Patroit until the very end.

As a young man, Frankie was fortunate to meet the love of his life Mabel Louise “Bobbie” (Croy). They courted while in St. Louis, beginning several of their date with Frankie picking up Bobbie on his Harley Motorcycle. They enjoyed each others company and became inseparable as the years passed. They were united in marriage on June 16, 1951 in St. Pias Catholic Church, St. Louis, Missouri. Bobbie preceded Frank in death on December 5, 2003.

Frankie quest for opportunity for his family brought the Bogad’s to St. Robert in 1955. He became the owner/operator of Tulane Trailer Court which he continued to operate until his passing.

Frankie was a mainstay and a faithful servant to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. In the early years Frankie would fire up the old boiler in the Church’s original location before Mass. He later was instrumental in the selection of the current location of the Church and worked with Father Walsh to develop and construct Resurrection Cemetery. Frankie continued his service to the Church in various capacities as long as his health allowed.

Frankie was proud of his service with the Knights of Columbus. He attained his 3rd and 4th Degrees and held the office of Financial Secretary for 30 continuous years. Upon making his 4th degree he recalls marching as a group through the streets of St. Louis to the Cathedral. Frankie was also a life member of the American Legion Post 331 and Lion’s Club.

Frankie was always looking for ways to serve his community. He was deputized by Sheriff Dorsey Rayl in 1960. He served as a Deputy Sheriff through four different sheriffs’ and over 50 years. He was also a long-time St. Robert City Alderman representing Ward 1. He was very instrumental in the business attraction and housing development that has been on going for the past several years in the City of St. Robert.

Frankie passed from this life to be reunited with his wife Bobbie the morning of June 14, 2011 at his home in Tulane Trailer Court at the age of 89 years. He will always remain greatly admired and never forgotten by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by several Nieces and Nephews; his church family and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Bobbie; and brother John.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with Father John Groner officiating. Music was provided by Evelyn Horine and serving as escorts were the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus.

Burial with military honors followed in the Resurrection Cemetery of St. Robert. Honors were provided by the United States Air Force of Whiteman Air Force Base. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory.

Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church Fellowship Hall. Contributions can be left at the church or funeral home.

Barbara Jean (Sears) Lynch 1936-2004

Barbara Jean Lynch, daughter of Dorothy Marie (Deberry) Sears and the late Clifton Eugene Sears, was born August 3, 1936 in Richland, Missouri. She departed this life the afternoon of April 5, 2004 at her home in Waynesville, Missouri at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 2 days.

On September 4, 1953, Barbara was united in marriage with James Victor Lynch and to this union four children were born, Steven Michael, Deborah Gay, James Eric and Lisa Lynn.

While growing up, Barbara attended church services at the Richland Methodist Church. However, later in life she became a baptized Catholic and attended the St. Jude's Catholic Church in Richland. She believed in visiting churches of all regions and she spent time studying the beliefs of both Western and Eastern religions. Her faith in God was an inspiration to others. She started each morning reading the Bible and in prayer with God. She believed in the good in all people.

Barbara spent her life giving loving care and compassion to others. She received her Emergency Medical Technician and Licensed Vocational Nurses training. She volunteered her time working for many different organizations throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, embroidery and gardening.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Vic of the home; her mother, Dorothy Sears of Richland; two sons: Steven Lynch and his wife, Deborah and Jim Lynch all of Waynesville; two daughters, Deborah Lynch Baxter and her husband, Ross of Sanger, Texas and Lisa Lynch of Littleton, Colorado; one brother, Tom Sears of Columbia; one sister, Judy (Sears) McCalip and her husband, John of Lebanon; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service was held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2004 at the Richland Memorial Chapel in Richland with Bro. Lee Todd and Rev. Steven Lynch officiating. Becky Lercher accompanied Rodney Blanchard as he sang "Victory In Jesus". Becky Lercher also sang "I Feel Like Traveling On". Rev. Steven Lynch concluded the service with a loving eulogy in honor of his mother. Serving as escorts were Steven Lynch Jr., Skip Sears, Harold Eugene Sears, John Jarrett, John McCalip, and Gary Carmack. Honorary escorts were Freeman Moss, Ross Baxter, Harold Wells, Carl Johnson, and Mike Goff. Burial followed in the Resurrection Cemetery of St. Robert, MO. Services were under the direction of Richland Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made in memory of Barbara Jean Lynch and may be left at the chapel.

Mary Monsarrat (Belles) Wallis 1923-2012

Mary Monsarrat (Belles) Wallis, daughter of the John Q. and Antonia (Garcia) Veles, was born March 3, 1923 in Wahiawa, Hawaii at home.

Mary grew up in Hawaii and attended school. As a young girl, Mary was still living in Hawaii when the bombing of Pearl Harbor took place and shortly after that she came to the Mainland and lived in California for a few years.

On February 23, 1944, Mary was united in marriage to James “Jim” Lehman Wallis in Dallas, Texas. They shared many wonderful years together and were blessed with nine children: James Jr., John, Charles, Mark, Michael, Thomas, Timothy, Sharon and Patricia. Jim preceded her in death September 20, 2001.

Due to Jim being in the United States Navy, Mary and the family lived in various places throughout his career. For a time, Mary worked at Shandley’s Black Label Distributing in the Warehouse while they lived in California. On April 13, 1973, Mary and the family moved to the Waynesville area.

After moving to Waynesville, Mary became a member of the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and loved to see new places while traveling. Most importantly, she treasured those times spent with her family and friends.

Mary passed away the evening of Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics of Columbia, Missouri having attained the age of 89 years. She will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory her seven sons: James Wallis, Jr. of Mammoth Springs, AR, John Wallis of Richmond, KY, Charles Wallis of San Diego, CA, Mark Wallis of Tucson, AZ, Michael Wallis of Shawnee, KS, Thomas Wallis of Las Vegas, NV and Timothy Wallis of Loveland, CO; two daughters: Sharon Wallis of Conroe, TX and Patricia Phillippe of Austin, TX; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Tony, Albert and David Belles and four sisters: Minnie Christensen, Margaret Arroyo, Helen Palmer, and Julia Ortiz.

Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church of St. Robert with Father John Groner officiating. Organist Evelyn Horine accompanied the congregation as they sang responses. Serving as escorts were Jim, John, Mark, Michael, Tom and Tim Wallis, Jerry Phillippe and Jade Sandberg. Serving as honorary escort was Dan Wallis.

Burial followed in the Resurrection Cemetery of St. Robert. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.

Richard Jon-Paul Reppert 1979-1984

Richard Jon-Paul Reppert was born on October 13, 1979, the son of Joseph and Karen Pahula Reppert and passed away as a result of an automobile accident on June 10, 1984.  He had attained the age of 4 years.

Funeral services were held in the St. Bellarmine Catholic Church in St. Robert on Thursday, June 14, 1984 at 12:00 p.m. with Father Stephen Faletti and Monsignor Jerome Sommer officiating.  Burial was in the Resurrection Cemetery under the direction of the Long Moss Williams Chapel of Crocker.  Rosary service was held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Long Moss Williams Chapel.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were David Wyss, Brian Wyss, Michael Hastings, Michael Pahula, and Willis Smith.

He is survived by his father, Joseph Reppert of the home, one brother, Jason of the home, his grandparents, Chuck and Madeline Reppert of Waynesville, three aunts, two uncles and nine cousins.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Karen Celina (Pahula) Reppert 1956-1984

Karen Celina Reppert was born on March 16, 1956, the daughter of Michael and Violet Genest Pahula and passed away as a result of an automobile accident on June 9, 1984.  She had attained the age of 28 years.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Reppert on June 16, 1979 and unto this union Richard Jon-Paul was born.

Her first priority in life was her husband and children.  She loved cooking and baking and working with stained glass.

Funeral services were held in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in St. Robert on Thursday, June 14, 1984 at 12:00 p.m. with Father Stephen Faletti and Monsignor Jerome Sommer officiating.  Burial was in the Resurrection Cemetery under the direction of the Long Moss Williams Chapel of Crocker.  Rosary service was held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Long Moss Williams Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Pahula, Steve Pahula, Larry Wyss, Mike Hastings, Rick Gibson and Earl Brandon.

She is survived by her husband Joe of the home, 1 son, Jason of the home, Mother and Father-in-law, Chuck and Madeline Reppert of Waynesville, two brothers, Steven Pahula of Borger, Texas and Michael Pahula of Waynesville, two sisters, Mickey Wyss of St. Charles, Missouri and Sharon Hastings of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, with many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Robert Arthur Miles 1929-1984

Robert Arthur Miles was born a son of John Thomas Miles and Audie Lucille (Polk) Miles on March 8, 1929 in Plevna, Alabama, and he departed this life May 15, 1984 in Waynesville, Missouri in his 55th year.

He served his country in the United States Army, and was in the Korean War, and the Vietnam Conflict. He was sent to Vietnam on three different intervals in his military career. He was wounded severely all three times he was sent to Vietnam. When there was something to be done he was one who volunteered, and he took great pride in seeing his missions and goals accomplished. He retired from the military July 12, 1979 after serving 26 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He had acquired a vast knowledge about the growing of roses, and he had great success with them.

He was a member of the D.A.V. Gasconade Chapter 49. He is survived by his wife Yong Sun. One son Bobby Miles and one daughter Mona Miles both of Tennessee; his mother, Audie L. Miles of Franklin, Tennessee, one stepson Chong Su Kim of the home; one step daughter Chong Mi Kim of Waynesville, Missouri; one brother Herbert Miles of Texas and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 17, 1984 at 11:00 a.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Monsignor Jerome Sommer officiating. Interment with full military rites was held in the Resurrection Cemetery in St. Robert under direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Those serving as escorts were military. Bernice Koch Hardman 1922-1984

Bernice Koch Hardman was born a daughter of Frank J. Koch and Julia H. (Stumpf) Koch, November 30, 1922 in Springfield Township, Wisconsin and she departed this life June 24, 1984 at the Pulaski County Memorial Hospital in Waynesville, Missouri at the age of 61.

She was a member of the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. She was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Navy. She was a member of KKI, KME, and AARP. She received her Bachelors degree from SMS and her Masters from UMR. She and her family made Waynesville their home August 29, 1958, coming from Stewartsville, Mo. She taught in the Waynesville R-6 School District for 23 years. Her husband Owen was a teacher and administrator, also in the Waynesville R-6 School District. He preceded her in death June 17, 1978.

She had Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and through it all she remained patient, always with concern for the well being of her family and many friends. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, teacher, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter. Michael David Hardman and daughter-in-law Mary White of Minden, Nevada; Paul Xavier Hardman and daughter-in-law Lula Mae, and granddaughter Ryann and grandson Paul Xavier Hardman, III of Waynesville, Missouri; one daughter Anna Christine Garber and son-in-law Nickolaus Garber, and granddaughter Jean Marie Garber of Johnsons Bayou, Louisiana; two brothers Ray Koch of Sundusky, Ohio; and Richard Koch of Oxnard, California; seven sisters Christine Moore of Stoughton, Wisconsin; Frances Vincent, and Verna Palaschak, both of Madison, Wisconsin; Virginia Johns and Elsie Schmedlin both of North Olmstead, Ohio; Emilia Morgan of Carpenersville, Illinois; and Mary Lou Sweisthal of Houston, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, June 27, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with Principle Concelebrant Chaplain (CPT.) Zygmunt Kaminski and Concelebrant Reverend Jack Pender officiating. Interment was in the Resurrection Cemetery under direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Music was furnished by Mrs. Gail Riedman. A Rosary Service was held Tuesday, June 26, 1984 at 7:30 in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Chaplain (CPT.) Zygmunt Kaminski leading. Those serving as Escorts were Lee Kinder, Erwin Morriss, Gale Townsend, Ed Fisher, Wayne Barnhart, and Jack Garzelli.

Resurrection Cemetery is in Pulaski County, MO., in the town of St. Robert, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholich Church at 367 Historic Route 66.

St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church was organized in the early 1940’s after construction of Fort Leonard Wood. The church relocated and the first mass was November 1964. Resurrection Cemetery was dedicated after 1964. The oldest marker is that of Louis Ferkal, a Staff Seargent during World War II, who died 24 November, 1969.

Karen Louise Teasley Murray 1955-2000

Karen Louise Teasley Murray, 45, Dixon, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at a Columbia, Mo., hospital from injuries she suffered in an automobile accident.
Mrs. Murray was an elementary school teacher.
She was born June 21, 1955, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., the daughter of Vernon and Theresa M. Teasley.
She married Maj. Daniel Murray on May 27, 1987, in Manhattan, Kan. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Stuart Murray and Joseph Murray, both at home; her mother, Theresa M. Teasley, Topeka; a sister, Marianne Guerrero, Topeka; and two brothers, Warren Teasley, Golden, Colo., and Terry Teasley, Lenexa, Kan.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in St. Robert, Mo. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Robert, Mo.
