She was united in marriage to Dewey Williams on October 2, 1921 and to this union one son and one daughter was born.
Mabel is survived by one son: Harold Williams of Nashville, Tennessee, one daughter: Virginia Skaggs of Crocker; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; three brothers: Lloyd Thornsberry of Richland; Earl Thornsberry of Lebanon; and John Thornsberry of Denver, Colorado; one sister: Mary Rollins of Richland and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crocker and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved her flowers and was always ready to give a helping hand to others. She was a good Christian mother, grandmother and friend to everyone and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church of Crocker on Friday, August 24, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. with Ed Hamilton officiating.
Burial was in the Crocker Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Long Moss Williams Chapel of Crocker.
Soloist was Dwight Roam, organist was Beth Skaggs.
Pallbearers were: Bill, James and Jeffery Skaggs, Tim Hardesty, Robert Payton, and Terry Gardener.
