Bobby Lee Benefiel, of St. Robert, was born on November 25, 1940, at
Noel, Missouri, a son of Clarence and Ruby Alice (Lukens) Benefiel and
departed this life on Friday, March 16, 2012 in the University of
Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia, from injuries sustained in an
automobile accident. Mr. Benefiel had attained the age of 71 years, 3
months and 21 days.
Mr. Benefiel was united in marriage on July 2, 1988, at Dixon to
Rosalie Aileen Best.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence;
his step-father, Vertle Nixon and one sister, Clarice Jean Roe.
Mr. Benefiel had attended the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon and
was a retired truck driver. He loved going to car shows, fishing and
gardening.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Benefiel include: his wife,
Rosalie Benefiel, St. Robert; his mother, Ruby Nixon, Lockwood; one son,
Wally Warner, Sun Rise Beach; three daughters and two sons-in-law,
Shawnda and Brian Purdy, Joplin; Sonya and James McClendon, Dixon and
Shanna Wells, Rolla; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Pauline
Benefiel and Bill and Chris Benefiel, all of Carthage; one sister, Norma
West, state of Missouri; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild;
numerous nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Benefiel at 11:00 a.m., Monday,
March 19, 2012, in the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon with Pastor
Larry Albertson officiating. Rick Hargrove sang “Blessed Assurance” and
Tom Hargrove sang “Beulah Land” for the funeral service and a favorite
selection of “I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You” was played for the
service.
Interment was in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon under the
direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services,
Dixon. Pallbearers for Mr. Benefiel were Frank Robbins, Glen Stines,
Chuck Edwards, Randy Wagoner, Gene Gilbert and Jim Bales.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gideon Memorial Bibles with
envelopes available at the church or the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home,
Dixon.
