WAYNESVILLE (Special)- Mrs. Eva Pearl Pippin, 70, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday of a heart attack at her home four miles northwest of Waynesville.
She was the wife of Dru L. Pippin, member of the Missouri Conservation Commission, which he has served more than 13 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Pippin have operated Pippin Place, a family resort lodge near Waynesville since 1925. She had suffered from a virus the past three weeks and a heart condition several years.
Mrs. Pippin was a member of the Waynesville Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was a former resident of Marshall, where she taught home economics.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dan, Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Duggins, Jefferson City, whose husband is chief counsel for the state insurance division; a sister, Mrs. Urvane Elmore, Eagleville, Tenn.; two brothers, John Turner Luther and Clayton Luther, both of Fort Worth, Tex., and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Waynesville Methodist Church. The Rev. John Bowlen and the Rev. Theodore Wolff will officiate. Burial will be in Waynesville Memorial Cemetery under direction of Moss-Williams. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
