WAYNESVILLE- Jess Edwards Brotherton, 72, Waynesville, died yesterday at Waynesville Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; five sons, Lewis and Bob, both of Waynesville, Don, of the home, Ralph, of Dixon, and Loren, Muncie, Ind.; eight daughters, Dorothy, address unknown, Mrs. Bonnie Hacker, of Denton Springs, La., Mrs. Delois Lolliss, Crocker, Mrs. Helen Tanner, Mrs. Mary Crocter, Mrs. Alice Lawrence, Mrs. June Butcher, all of Waynesville, and Mrs. Betty Dixon, East Carondelet, Ill.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Craft, Waynesville, Mrs. Florence Gipson, Kansas City; one brother, John, address unknown; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Parkview Baptist Church, St. Roberts, with the Rev. Clarence Smith officiating. Burial will be in Waynesville Memorial Cemetery under direction of Moss-Williams.
