A farmer and resident of Waynesville from 1923 to 1935, he moved to Washington, D.C., to become a special policeman and lived there until his recent return.
He is survived by his wife, Nettie; two sons, Norman, Osage City, Kan., and Cameron L., of Washington; three daughters, Mrs. Iva I. Hammen, Hyatsville, Md., Mrs. John Threlkeld, Waynesville, and Mrs. Homer Dozier, Denver; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Nass and Mrs. Lennie Thompson, both of Renton, Wash., and Mrs. Blaine Thompson, Brownswood, Texas; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church at Waynesville with the Revs. Cleveland Horne and Norman Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Waynesville Memorial Cemetery under direction of Hedges of Waynesville.
