Newton Thomas Churchill, 66, died Tuesday in Waynesville General Hospital where he had been a patient 8 days. He was a former groceryman. He was born in Kansas City and had lived in Waynesville 13 years.

Funeral services will be THursday at 2 p.,. in Waynesville Baptist Church. The Rev. Rollo Schrimscher will officiate. Burial will be in Waynesville Memorial Cemetery under direction of Hedges.

Survivors are his wife, Roberta May; a son, Robert N., Waynesville and 3 grandchildren.
