On October 3, 1926 he was united in marriage with Edith Holdren, and to this union was born three children. He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lois Jean, his wife Edith, who passed away April 30, 1985, his parents, three brothers: George, Frank, and Vincent; two sisters: Della Winifred and Zella Evans, and one grandson, James Allen Goforth.
Paul has been a member of the Glover Chapel Church of Christ since he was a young man.
He has lived in this area most all of his life, and has been in both turkey and Grade A Dairy Farming before retiring in 1977.
He is survived by two sons: Jim Bill Goforth of Richland; Charley Paul Goforth of Linn Creek, Missouri; one brother, Davy Goforth of Richland; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from Colonial Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 1986 with Rev. Roger Marshall and Pryor Ray Prewett officiating.
Music was provided by DeLores Shadel.
Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels.
Escorts were: Lloyd Bohannon, Alfred Zeigenbein, Jim Harrold, Don Roam, Russel Gibson, and Lawrence Moore.
