Leonard Elmer Carroll 1894-1983

Services were held last Sunday for Elmer Carroll, 88, Waynesville, who died Aug. 19. He was born Aug. 30, 1894, at Iberia, a son of Franklin and Bashay Peoria Elkins Carroll.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Zora Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a member of the Iduma Church.

Other survivors: three sons, Chester Carroll, Southerlin, Ore., Lloyd Carroll, Swisshome, Ore., and Hershel Carroll of Big Piney; two daughters, Ozelma Spratley, Jefferson City, and Orpha Wood, Ft. Clayton, Panama; four sisters, Marie Long, Lennis Page, Maggie Carter and Florence Kelley; 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery in Big Piney.
