Dorothy was born, January 16, 1923, at Attica, Iowa to Stanley and Allie Grace Roll. She graduated from Knoxville High School and lived all of her adult life until retirement in Des Moines. She enjoyed her years as an employment counselor for Capital Personnel and later in the personnel department for Preferred Risk (now Guide One). Dorothy and her husband Ralph retired to Richland, Missouri.
Dorothy loved to cook for friends and family, who benefited from her great tasting cobblers and fried chicken. She loved country music and animals. A warm, outgoing person, Dorothy will be missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Price is survived by her two sons: Larry Flanagan (Jan) and Kent Flanagan (Janie) all of Des Moines, IA; one brother: Stan Roll (Mildred); six grandchildren: Price, Shawn, Juli, James, Shelli, Mindi; nine great grandchildren: Nolan, Kinsey, Kristlyn, Cayleigh, Cassidy, Savanna, Nick, Maggie and Bliss; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph and former husband Forest Flanagan; her brothers Kenneth and William.
Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2010, in the First Assembly of God Church in Des Moines, Iowa with Rev. Greg Youmans officating. Graveside services were held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, May 17th, in the Mt. View Cemetery of Richland, Missouri with Rev. Christopher Hendrix, Sr. oficiating. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
