He was united in marriage with Dorothy Williams on May 27, 1949 and to this union was born one son and five daughters, all surviving.
James accepted the Lord at an early age. He was affection ally known as a loving father and husband. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy of the home; one son, Harold of Havana, Ill.; five daughters, Linda Green of Waynesville; Brenda Crossland of Richland; Glenda Hammock, Lisa Rolls both of Waynesville; and Candy Sue Hammock of the home; one brother, Floyd of Springfield; three sisters, Sharon Jeffries, Kathleen Bench and Hathalee Ousbourne, all of Richland; eight grandchildren, Stacy, Bryan, Stella, Jesse, Brent, Mariah, Shawn, and Travis and a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends, also surviving is his grandmother Tilda Harmon Scott of the Waynesville Nursing Home. Preceded him in death were his mother and father.
