Jeanette Rose, of Kansas City, formerly of Crocker,
was born on April 17, 1925, at Crocker, a daughter of Otis and Mae
(Tomlinson) DeVore, and departed this life at 12:35 p.m., Tuesday,
January 3, 2012, in the New Mark Care Center, Kansas City. Mrs. Rose had
been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 86
years, 8 months and 16 days.
Mrs. Rose had worked for Owens Corning Fiber Glass as a cashier in the cafeteria as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, working with flowers, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Rose include: one son, Danny Rose, Gravois Mills; one daughter, Valerie Spicer, Kansas City; two sisters, Bonnie DeVore, El Paso, Illinois and Shirley Vaughan, Kansas City; four grandchildren, Daniel Rose, Christopher Rose, Mindy Andreas and Jeffery Copeland; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Rose at 12:00 noon, Friday, January 6, 2012, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Bro. Rick Smith, Crocker, officiating.
Interment was in the Crocker Public Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Rose were relatives and friends
