Mrs. Routh had worked for HD Lee, Brown Shoe Company and Hawkeye Auction, as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Pierce; her second husband, James Routh; three sons, Ronnie, Frank and Donnie Pierce; one daughter, Norma Pierce; two grandsons, James Joseph Mendez and Timothy Pierce and three brothers, Jim, Dale and John Paul McMurtrey.
Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Routh include: three sons, Cap Pierce, Crocker; Jamie Routh, Crocker and Eugene Pierce, St. Louis; two daughters, Paula Dyer, Pawnee, Illinois and Lucy Mendez, Crocker; two brothers, Virgil McMurtrey and George McMurtrey, both of Crocker; one sister, Norma Marso, Crocker; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her primary care givers, Missy Deardeuff and Jeanna Mendez; and many other relatives and friends.
The family has honored Mrs. Routh’s wishes to be cremated with a private family memorial to be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested by the family to the Shrines Children’s Hospital with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
