Janie was a homemaker for all her working life always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Janie include: one son and daughter-in-law, Clarence “Boomer” and Bridgette Purcell, Dixon; two daughters and one son-in-law, Bonnie Baker, Laquey and Brenda and Louie Rector, Dixon; one brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Eula Smith, Salem; one sister, Carol Hood, Gilbert, Arizona; eleven grandchildren, Tricia (Mitchell) Hunt, Kylie Martin, Brandy (Doug) Pfeifer, Jamie (Nicki) Baker, Tracy (Leon) Rector, Robin (Scott) Rector, Jeremy (Brittney) Rector, Tyler (Abby) Baker, Jessica (Elliott) Lloyd, Blake Purcell and Dakota Purcell; fourteen great-grandchildren, Tearinie, Brittany, Addison, Laine, Landen, Breaden, Kambry, Taylor, Bailey, Rylea, Kloie, Ariel and Hunter; and other relatives and friends.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Csonka.
Funeral services were conducted for Janie at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Ronnie Brown officiating. Three favorite selections of “I’ll Fly Away”, “Sissy’s Song” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” were played for the service.
Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Janie were Leon Weed, Scott Meloy, Jeremy Rector, Blake Purcell, Tyler Baker and Louie Rector. Honorary pallbearers were Elliot Lloyd and Bobby Ray.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Dixon.
