She was united in marriage to Frank Rose and unto this union four sons were born.
Frank and Edith lived in Dixon for 25 years. While in Dixon she worked for Ralph Goforth at the Dixon Pilot, for several years worked as a nurse at the Pulaski County Hospital and had worked as a nurse at Ft. Leonard Wood during W.W.II. She was a member of the First Baptist Church while living in Dixon. In 1969 she moved to Nashville, Tennessee when Mr. Rose passed away and was a member of the Judson Baptist Church in Nashville. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Chapel in Dixon on Tuesday, February 18, 1986 with Morton Rose officiating.
Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Ray Donal Baker, Glen, Jeff, Keith and Kent Rose and Don Shackelford.
She is survived by her three sons, Morton and his wife, Ruby of Nashville, Tennessee, Paul and his wife, Lee of Cushing, Oklahoma and Robert and his wife, Marilyn of Independence, Missouri; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded by her parents, husband and an infant son, Ralph.
