Mr. Roberds was born August 6, 1903, in Maries County, on a farm near VanCleve, a son of the late Albert and Minnie Parker Roberds.

John was a farmer, stockman, and a home builder. John and May chose to make Rolla their retirement home. They moved on June 1, 1960, to their new home, where they continued to live.
He professed faith and at the time of death he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rolla.
