He was employed in construction work for most of his working life and was a bricklayer by trade. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
Fond memories of him will lone be remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were conducted for him at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, May 17, 1986 in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with the Rev. Earl Jones officiating.
Interment was in the Sheppard Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
Pallbearers were James E. Russell, George Russell, Roger Russell, W.J. Doyle, Jim Doyle and Howard Doyle.
Honorary pallbearers were Cosmiur Dattilo, Ed Osborne, Walter Huff, and Don Brewer.
Those left to mourn his passing include: One son, James E. Russell, Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Patty Lane, West Lake Village, California; two brothers, Roger Russell, Newport, Kentucky, and George Russell, Cincinnati, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Ann Huff, Mrs. Elsie King, Mrs. Evelyn Dattilo and Mrs. Emma Jo Baehmer, all of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Mary Brewer, Largo, Florida; ten grandchildren; and other friends and relatives.
