On July 8, 1929 she was united in marriage with Ralph Shivers and to this union were born six children, all surviving.
Early in life Flossie professed her faith in Christ and united with the Hazelgreen Methodist Church, later transferring her membership to the Brownfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Ralph of the home, two daughters, Cleo Lindsey of Independence, Missouri and Norma Landtroop of Euless, Texas, four sons: Don and Roy both of Richland; Dean of Stoutland; and Ken of Waynesville; two brothers: Ralph Watkins of Lebanon and Albert Watkins of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters: Florence Brown, Clinton, Missouri and Esther Black of Richland; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was a sweet Christian mother, loved by her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 27, 1986 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Chapel with Doug Shivers officiating.
Music was provided by Rusty Shadel, Soloist, and DeLores Shadel, Organist.
Burial was in the Mt. Rose memorial park under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels.
