On May 28, 1927 he was united in marriage to Imo Fairy Carrol, in Richland, Missouri, and to this union was born six children all surviving.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Ray, Roy, Wilbur, Ernest, and Kermit, and two sisters: Lora Adkinson, and Oma Busick.
Clifford accepted Christ as a young man, and attended the Independence Baptist Church at Hazelgreen, Missouri.
He has lived and farmed in the surrounding area all of his life. Clifford also worked for 18 years as a foreman at the Independent Stave Company in Lebanon, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife Imo of the home, five sons: Clifford Jr., Breckenridge, Texas; Richard, Chelsea, Oklahoma; Bobby, Welling, Oklahoma; James, Eugene, Missouri; two daughters: Barbara Massey, Defiance, Missouri; Sharon Kay Oursbourn, Richland, Missouri; one sister, Lillian Hammer, Lebanon, Missouri; 23 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 30, 1986, 1:30 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Fulkerson officiating.
Music was provided by Rusty Shadel, Soloist, and Delores Shadel, Organist.
Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel of Richland.
Escorts were: Ricky Massey, Jamie Pruitt, Matthew Pruitt, Daryl Oursbourn, Alva Pruitt, and Roger Pruitt.
Honorary escorts were: Randy Massey, Edward Bohannon, Willis Carroll, Lloyd Bohannon, James Baranowski, and Bill Warren.
