He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, and had been disabled for most of his life.
A Rosary Service was held for him at 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening, February 3, 1986, in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with members of the family leading.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for him at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, February 4, 1986, in the St. Boniface catholic Church, Koeltztown, with Msgr. Ralph G. Kutz officiating.
Interment was in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Koeltztown, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
Relatives and friends served as pallbearers.
Spiritual offerings to be applied for Masses according to your preference are preferred by the family of Mr. Sankey, and envelopes may be obtained at the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
Those left to mourn the passing include: two brothers, Otto Sankey, St. Louis and Gregory F. Sankey, Argyle; four sisters, Mrs. Antionette Canan, Mrs. Christine Gutgesell and Mrs. Cecillia Schmid, all of Argyle, and Mrs. Scholastica Golla, Chicago, Illinois; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father on December 1, 1946; his mother on June 27, 1940; and one brother, Ansgar Sankey.
