On September 24, 1924 he was united in marriage to Lola Jewell Andrews, and to this union was born three sons and one daughter all surviving.
Mr. Pemberton was born and raised in Miller County, and was a farmer all of his life.
He became a member of the Church of Christ in Richland in July of 1963.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 1981 at the Colonial Funeral Chapel with Evangelist Larry Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Union Cemetery under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapel of Richland.
Pallbearers were: Ron Pemberton, Joey Pemberton, Billy Williams, Randall Pemberton, Joe Gan and Joe Wright.
He leaves to mourn his passing three sons: Duane, Clay, and Frank all of Richland; one daughter: LaVelle Gan, of Laquey; three brothers: Clarence Pemberton, Kansas City, Missouri; Curtis Pemberton, Lee’s Summitt, Missouri and John Pemberton, Iberia, Missouri; three sisters: Edith Graham, Iberia, Missouri; Mae Mace, Camdenton, Missouri and Vesta Harmon, New Mexico; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Raymond, Warren, Leslie and Jessie; two sisters: Lou Burke and Violet Sannings; two grandsons: Jackie and Jimmy Pemberton.
