From Waynesville Democrat.
One of the county's oldest and most faithful citizens
passed here last week. Uncle William Bradford was in his 96th year at the time
of his death. He was a subscriber to numerous papers and other periodicals to
the last, and kept abreast of everyday events. Age could not dim his keen
interest. He often repeated that he had not failed to vote the Democratic
ticket since the Civil War. His life was radiant and full. He was a pioneer, a
soldier, and a citizen.
