Mrs. M.G. Wyrick d. 10 April 1911

Mrs. M.G. Wyrick Dead

Died, at her home in this city Monday morning, Mrs. M.G. Wyrick, after a brief illness of about three weeks duration.

Altho Mrs. Wyrick had been ill for some time her condition was not considered dangerous until the day before her death.

She was 51 years of age, was a kind unassuming woman who had the love and respect of everyone who knew her. She has lived in this county most of her life, grew to womanhood in the Bellefonte neighborhood, where she lived until about 15 years ago they moved to Waynesville where she has lived until she was called home. Deceased lived a consistent Christian life and while ill health forbid her making public demonstrations of her Christian woek yet her everyday life spoke volumes to her neighbors and friends.

She leaves a husband, two daughters, three step children, a mother, three sisters, a brother and a host of friends to mourn her death. Funeral services was held at the Methodist church Tuesday morning conducted by Rev. W.H. Bostwick after which the remains were laid away in the city cemetery. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved ones.

Portia, Ark, February 15, 1911

Death Angel has again visited our midst and called our dear beloved sister, Mary Anderson, home, wife of John Anderson and daughter of Martha York. She leaves a husband, 11 children, a mother, 2 brothers, 1 sister and a host of friends to mourn their loss. She was 47 years old, was born in Pulaski county and lived there until she was married and some years since she moved to Arkansas. She had lived a consistent Christian life for twenty five years and was a member of the Freewill Baptist church. She suffered eleven weeks before God called her home. A Sister.

Killed By Falling Tree


Waynesville, Mo. April 8- George W. Masee, a well-to-do farmer was killed yesterday while clearing woodland on his farm near Moab neighborhood. A tree he was chopping feel on him unexpectedly and crushed him.

Minnie (Jones) Jackson 1885-1911

He was a circuit-riding Baptist Minister and his territory covered Phelps, Pulaski, and Texas Counties and parts of Maries and Dent Counties. He established a cemetery, Watt’s Lawn, which is located 1 mile West of J Highway, near the Pulaski County-Phelps County line. This collection covers 1878-1912.

Mrs. Minnie Jackson, wife of Emery Jackson and daughter of Thomas and Eliza Jones, died on Dry Creek near Tribune, December the 30th 1911 at 10 min. to 9 a.m., aged 26 ys., 6 ms., & 16 ds. Leaving husband and 4 little children. Buried at the James Bradford Cemetery after a sermon by J.J. Watts from Phil. 1X23 on Mon. Jan'y 1st 1912 at 2 p.m. Was of a family of 5 children, 3 surviving.

Eunice Leota Ousley, daughter of Joseph S. and Missouri Ousley, died Nov. 7th 1911 at 6 a.m., aged 2 ms., & 3 ds. Buried at the C. Ousley Cemetery Nov. 8th at 12 noon. Oldest child by 2d wife. Sermon from Matt. 18X10.

George Washington Maze died by a falling tree, April 6th 1911. Tree fell at 5 p.m. & he died at 11 p.m., April 6th 1911, aged 46 ys., 3 ms., & 10 ds. A son of the late Sheridan Maze, of a family of 11 children, only 2 surviving: James R. Maze and Mrs. Nancy Ferrell. Buried on Friday, Apr. 7th 1911 at 3 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery after funeral service by J.J. Watts & The Modern Brotherhood of David.

Lora Cornelius McCown, son of Perry E. McCown, died (near Watts Lawn Cemetery) Jan'y 3d 1911 at 9 p.m., aged 5 months & 15 days. Buried at Watts Lawn Cemetery Jan'y 5th 1911 at 2 p.m. after service by J.J. Watts.
