Minnie Jane Gray d. 2 January 1970

MISS MINNIE JANE GRAY

WAYNESVILLE- Funeral services for Miss Minnie Jane Gray, 90, of Waynesville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Moss-Williams Chapel here with the Rev. Lyle Cox officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A longtime resident of Waynesville, Miss Gray died Friday morning in the Chronic Hospital, St. Louis, following an extended illness.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Danny L. Mitchell d. 1 August 1970

CPL. DANNY L. MITCHELL

WAYNESVILLE- Funeral services for Cpl. Danny L. Mitchell, 22, USMC, of Ballwin, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Moss-Williams Chapel here with the Ft. Leonard Wood post chaplain officiating. Burial will be in Waynesville Memorial Cemetery.

Corporal Mitchell was killed in action in Vietnam Aug. 1. He was formerly of Waynesville.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell of Ballwin; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Johnson of Waynesville, and Jennifer, of the home; one brother, Jeffery, of the home; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nora Mitchell of Waynesville.

Orville Frances Laughlin 1893-1970

Orville Frances Laughlin, son of James and Stella Logan Laughlin was born August 28, 1893 in Pulaski County, Mo., and departed this life October 26, 1970 at his home near Waynesville after suffering a lingering illness. Being cared for the past three and a half years by Henry Helton, who’s care was irreplaceable.

On February 3, 1914 Orville was united in marriage to Amanda J. Welch and to this union one son James was born.

Orville gave his life to Christ and was united with the Mt. Gibson Baptist Church in May of 1947, remaining true to his faith until his passing.

Being preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Lavena and Lola Ichord, three brothers, Claude, Clyde, and Roy, and by his wife, Josie, on Feb20, 1958, and by his son James on March 13, 1968.

Orville leaves to mourn his passing: his sister Elfie Bud of Richland, Mo., his daughter in law Gladys Laughlin, three grand daughters, Joyce Yelton, Janell Nappier, and Jammie Laughlin, three grand sons, Joe Jerry, and Johnie. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday October 28, 1970 at 2:00 p.m. at the Westside Baptist Church with Rev. Ewell Groves and Rev. Dale Huft officiating.

Interment was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of the Moss-Williams Funeral Chapel of Waynesville.

Dovie Campbell 1884-1970

Services Held in Casey for Mrs Dovie Campbell
Mrs Dovie Campbell, 85, of Casey died about 9:25pm Sunday in a Waynesville, Mo. hospital. She had been visiting a niece, Mrs Doris Vaught, in Dixon, Mo. for the past two months. She was born on September 6, 1884, near Casey and was married on November 6, 1912 to Lewis Campbell. Surviving are: the husband, Lewis: and one niece, Mrs Doris Vaught of Dixon, Mo. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 25 at 2:00pm in the Casey First Baptist Church with Rev Cecil Fuson of Centralia officiating. Burial was in the Casey Washington Street Cemetery. Greenwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
