William Lewis Hood d. April 3, 1908

He was a circuit-riding Baptist Minister and his territory covered Phelps, Pulaski, and Texas Counties and parts of Maries and Dent Counties. He established a cemetery, Watt’s Lawn, which is located 1 mile West of J Highway, near the Pulaski County-Phelps County line. This collection covers 1878-1912.
William Lewis Hood died April 3d 1908 at 11-30 a.m., aged 12 ys., 2 ms., & 16 ds. He was a son of James Edward and Sally Ann Hood and of a family of 6 children, 3 of whom survive, namely: Naomi Marilda, Sterlin Raymond, & Merton Landom Hood. Grand-son of Landom L. and Marilda Lawson. Burial attended by me at Watts Lawn at 3 p.m., April 4th 1908.

Chloa Ellender Cordelia Hood 1899

Chloa Ellender Cordelia, daughter of Wm. Thomas and Martha M. Hood, was born in Piney Township, Oct. 11th 1899 and died there Oct. 23d 1899, aged 1 yr and 12 ds. A funeral discourse was delivered at the Watts Lawn Cemetery from Rev. 7X9 using hymns 288 in vocalist= "So fades the lovely blooming flower" on Tues., Oct. 24th 1899 at 3 o'clock p.m. Father and mother and 2 children survive, with grand parents, J.H. Hayes & wife.

George Allen Hood 1887-1888

George Allen, son of Mrs. Elvira Hood born in Pulaski Co., MO, May 8, 1887, died in Piney Township, Pulaski Co., July 9th 1888, aged 1 yr. 2ms. and 1 day. A funeral sermon was preached at the Watts Lawn Cemetery from Gen. 37 X 30 by J.J. Watts, July 10th, 1888. Mother, grandmother, 5 brothers survive him.
