Gregory Todd Matheson 1968-1986

Gregory Todd Matheson was born in Easton, Kansas on September 4, 1968 the son of Richard and Mary Cook Matheson and passed away on Friday evening, July 25, 1986.  He had attained the age of 17.

Greg attended the Dixon School system and would have been a Senior this fall.  He was presently employed with Baden Moving and Storage.

He is survived by his father, Richard Matheson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, mother, Mary Caldwell of Gulfport, Mississippi, his grandparents, Ray and Irene Matheson of Dixon and Alonzo Rhoborcheck of Indianola, Nebraska, 4 brothers, Terry Matheson of Dixon, Rick and his wife Susan Matheson of Oklahoma City, Bill Matheson and Eric Caldwell of Gulfport, Mississippi, 2 sisters, Jeannie and her husband Kent Hoyt of Imperial, Nebraska and Christine Matheson of Madisonville, Tennessee with other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Chapel in Dixon on Monday, July 28, 1986 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don Butterfield officiating.  Burial was in the Kenner Cemetery.  Organist was Kathy Brandt and Soloist was Hazel Schierbaum.  Serving as his pallbearers were Buddy Faulkner, Kye Faulkner, Kirk Faulkner, Bryan Wach, Mark Cooper, and Bill Hallum.

Richard Ray Matheson 1938-1986

Richard Ray Matheson, 48 of Chattanooga, Tennessee was born April 15, 1938 in Chewelah, Washington, the son of Raymond and Irene Dussault Matheson and passed away on August 3, 1986 in Fort Payne, Alabama.

He was employed as a captain by the Tennessee Correctional System in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the past 5 years.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Chapel in Dixon on Thursday, August 7, 1986 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. W. Paul Martin officiating.  Burial was in the Kenner Cemetery.  Organist was Kathy Brandt and Soloist was Hazel Schierbaum.  Serving as his pallbearers were Kenneth Faulkner, Gary Winters, Roger Winters, Velden Butterfield, Tom Guennewig, and Brad Wach.

Those left to mourn his passing include his father and mother, Raymond and Irene Matheson of Dixon; 3 sons, Bill Matheson, Terry Matheson, and Rick Matheson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Jeannie Hoyt of Imperial, Nebraska and Christine Matheson of Madisonville, Tennessee; 2 step sons Rick Carroll and Art Carroll of Madisonville, Tennessee; 2 step daughters, Darlene Byers and Willadean Rogers of Madisonville, Tennessee; 3 sisters Mildred Butterfield of Hutchison, Kansas, M. Lou Wach of St. Clair and Barbara Guennewig of Troy, Illinois with grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by two sons, Lonnie Ray Matheson on Dec. 24, 1977 and Gregory Todd Matheson on July 25, 1986.
