Beverly June (Hendrix) Bays 1934-1986

Beverly June Hendrix Bays, daughter of Claude and Rose Goodrich Hendrix, was born on March 1, 1934 in Pulaski County and departed this life September 1, 1986 at the Pulaski County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

On November 18, 1950, she was united in marriage with Warren Bays, and to this union two children were born.  She is preceded in death by one son Warren Lynn, her parents, and one brother, Leroy Hendrix.

Beverly was a native of Pulaski County, where she was employed with Brown Shoe Company for several years, and with H.D. Lee for twelve years.

In 1951 she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and became a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckhorn, where she remained a member.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 3, 1986 at 1:00 p.m. with Ministers Rev. Norman Sanders and Rev. F.S. Hammons officiating.

Resting place was in the Buckhorn Cemetery.

Escorts for Mrs. Bays were: Dickie Bales, Charles Brittain, Dennis Hartley, Jim Bales, Harry Case and Bob Allison.

Those left to mourn her passing include her husband Warren of the home; one son Dennis and his wife Yvonna of Waynesville; three brothers, Dee, Buck, and Dallas Hendrix all of Waynesville; one sister, Lavone Sinclair of Waynesville; a daughter-in-law Susan Perry and her husband John of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Eric, Mandy and Christina; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Dennis "Denny" Bays 1951-2011

Dennis "Denny" Bays, 59 of Waynesville, passed away at 5:04 PM , Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the Buckhorn Baptist Church, Buckhorn. Burial will follow in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Waynesville. Services are under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.

Visitation will be held after 4:00 PM with Masonic Lodge 375 AF & AM services at 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.

Mr. Bays is survived by his wife: Yvonna Bays of the home; two sons: Eric Andrew Bays (wife:Heather) of Waynesville and Lynn Ray Bays (fiancé:Breonna) of Waynesville; one daughter: Brittany G. Waters (husband:Jake) of Buckhorn; one step-son: John August Reutter of Holts Summit; father-in-law: Leon Nelson of Waynesville; six grandchildren: Brandon, Brooklyn, Alyssa, Brooke, Samantha and Jace; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Don Nelson Scholarship Fund or the Bays Family.
