A longtime resident of Waynesville, Miss Gray died Friday morning in the Chronic Hospital, St. Louis, following an extended illness.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

WAYNESVILLE- Funeral services for Steve Gounis, 81, of Route 1, Waynesville, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church here with the Revs. Lyle cox and William Dudley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery here under direction of Moss-Williams of Waynesville.

Mr. Gounis died at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday in the Pulaski County Hospital following an extended illness. He was the owner-operator of the S.G. Motel near Waynesville.

Surviving are his wife, Flora; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Casler, of Waynesville; a sister living in Greece; and three grandchildren.

State Patrol's Lt. Knight Dies of Leukemia

WAYNESVILLE (Special)- Funeral services for Lt. George Richard Knight, 59, of Waynesville, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the West Side Baptist Church, Waynesville, with the Revs. Wilbur Harbaugh and Billy Dudley officiating. Burial will be in Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Moss-Williams of Waynesville.

Lt. Knight was deputy commander of Highway Patrol Troop I at Rolla and had been with the highway patrol since 1942. He was acheduled to retire next May.

He died at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital here where he had been hospitalized six months. His death was attributed to leukemia.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; one son, James, who is serving with the Marine Corps; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Knight of Moberly; three brothers, Albert, Quincy, Ill., Everett of Roanoke, Va., and Curtis of the state of New Jersey; and three grandchildren.

HOUSTON- Louis Michael Bodo Jr., 39, of Hockley, Texas, apparently died of knife wounds to the neck about Nov. 8 while working at his landscape business near Waller, Texas.

A Texas coroner ruled that he had been dead about two weeks when the body was discovered.

No suspects have been arrested in the death.

Survivors are his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Louis M. Bodo Sr., Houston.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Evans Chapel with Rev. Paul McLoughlin officiating. Burial will be in the Waynesville Memorial Cemetery.
