Priscilla (Green) Thompson d. 1909

The body of Mrs. John Thompson, who was before her marriage Miss Priscilla Green, was brought here from Cameron, Okla., and was buried Monday afternoon. She had many friends here, who regretted very much to hear of her death. She was a member of the Baptist church, where the funeral was held. She leaves a husband, four children, a mother, two sisters, and five brothers to mourn her loss.

Miss Ella Green of the Gasconade died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Mary Davis last Friday. The Coroner held an Inquest and decided that she died from abortion.

Mary Frances (Green) Frank 1927-2008

Mary Frances Frank, daughter of James David and Mary Geraldine (Taylor) Green, was born October 13, 1927 in Arrowrock, Missouri. Mary graduated from Bourbon High School and later attended cosmetology school in Kansas City, Missouri. As a young girl, Mary accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized.


In 1948, Mary was united in marriage to Harry Wallis Frank in Kansas City, Missouri. They shared over 14 years of marriage together and were blessed with one son, Gerald Gerry Wallis Frank.


Mary was a hardworking woman and took great pride in helping provide for her family. For several years she worked at the Fashion Shop Dress Store on the Waynesville square and also helped her family with the family business, Eircils Jewelry.


In her spare time, Mary enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved sitting out in the sun and watching her two dogs, Tiko and Panda. Most importantly, she cherished the times that she spent with her family and friends.


Mary went home to be with her Lord at 9:10 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in her home at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 7 days.


Mary will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by one son: Gerry Frank and his wife Cindy of Waynesville, MO; two grandchildren: Darin Frank and his wife Lacy of Richland, MO and Geremy Frank of Richland, MO; several other relatives and many friends.


Mary was preceded in death by her parents: James Green and Mary Green " Simmerly and Eircil Simmerly; along with her husband: Harry Frank.


Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 23, 2008 in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chuck Baker officiating. Dirk and Jennifer Ellis provided the music by singing How Great Thou Art and Give Me Jesus. Serving as escorts were Darin Frank, Geremy Frank, John Parrish, Ted York, Matt Henson, Boyd Hendrix and Barry Oursbourn.


Burial followed in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

George "Bill" Green 1944-2009

George William Green was born February 29, 1944 in Dixon, Missouri. He was one of twelve children born to the union of George Washington and Dorothy Jane (Mitchell) Green.

George passed away December 17, 2009, at his home near Laquey, Missouri, at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 18 days.

“Bill,” as he was affectionately known, grew up and attended school in Dixon. As did most kids from large families, Bill cut his education short to work and help support the family. But he did make sure he helped his sister, Judy complete her education. Bill started at an early age worrying more about the welfare of others, than of his own.

Bill worked for the Mark Twain National Forestry for thirteen years before taking a position with the Pulaski County Road and Bridge department. Bill was proud to have been an employee of PCR&B for twenty-three years and four months; most of those years being spent on a motor grader.

On September 30, 1999, Bill married Gwendolyn Green at her day care center in Buckhorn. Bill’s family immediately expanded to include not only Gwen’s sons, Eric and Ronnie, but also all of the day care children, who lovingly branded him as “Bill-Bill.”

Bill loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, riding his horses and working on his farm. He was also a big John Wayne fan. Bill was a long time member of Buckhorn Baptist Church.

Bill will be greatly missed by his wife: Gwen; two sons: Eric Goudge of Laquey and Ronnie Goudge of Puyallup, Washington; nine siblings: Mary Ann Anderson and husband, Paul, and Margie Lou Steen both of Crocker, Norma Jean Atwell, and husband, Bob of California, MO, Judy Wieners and husband, Clarence of Laquey, Raymond Green and wife, Kay of Kane, Illinois, Barbara Bowling and friend, Richard Ledbetter of Richland, Ronnie Green and wife, Kathy of Montreal, Paula Forrest of St. Robert and John Green and wife, Lisa of Laquey; two grandsons: Gavin and Alex; many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father: George Green (June 26, 1978); his mother: Dorothy Green (November 21, 1998); one brother: Freddie Green (September 4, 2007) and a sister: Nora Twehus (January 12, 2000).

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 in the Buckhorn Baptist Church of Buckhorn, Missouri with Re. Larry Atkins officiating. Music selections included “This Is Just What Heaven Means to Me” sang by soloist Larry Atkins, “Beulah Land” sang by Stacy Green, and “Go Rest High on That Mountain” sang by Matt Atkins. Serving as escorts were Eric Goudge, Ronnie Goudge, Johnny Green, Stacy Green, John Allen Twehus, Wesley Atwell and Clarence Wieners.

Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery, Hannah, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Richland.
