Mary Elizabeth (Carmack) Foote d. January 17, 1916

Mrs. W.B. Foot of near Bear Ridge died at her home about 6 o'clock Monday evening of pneumonia, after an illness of only two weeks. The deceased was 37 yrs. of age at the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her departure of this life, in addition to a host of friends. A loving husband and three small children, parents Mr. and Mrs. John Carmack of the Bell Creek neighborhood. Two brothers, W.R. and Ivy Carmack. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 18th, at the Christian Church at Crocker, of which church she was a true and devote member. The remains were laid to rest in the Crocker Cemetery. We extend our heart felt sympathy to the bereaved relatives in this, their great sorrow.

Pauline Foote 1965-1990

Pauline Foote, daughter of Alva and Lela Marie Miller Foote, was born July 4, 1965, in Waynesville, Missouri, and departed this life May 26, 1990, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of twenty-four years, ten months, and twenty-two days.

Pauline graduated in 1983, after attending Laquey School for twelve years. She worked at the H.D. Lee Factory in Richland since 1984.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Stephen, of the home; her father Alva Foote, Laquey, Missouri; two brothers, Cecil Foote, Lebanon, Missouri, and Eddie Foote, Richland, Missouri; two sisters, Charlene Foote, Plato, Missouri, and Annette Farias, Laquey, Missouri; her grandfather, Edward Miller, Richland, Missouri; two aunts, Evelyn Davis, Richland, Missouri, and Belle Scott, Laquey, Missouri; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lela Marie Foote; her maternal grandmother, Louise Miller; and her paternal grandparents, Paul and Erdis Foote.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Beryl Ramey Belden 1905-1985

Beryl Ramey Belden, native daughter of Pulaski County, Missouri, born August 7, 1905 near Richland, Missouri, died January 19, 1985 in Anderson, California, age 79 years, 5 months, and 12 days. She was the first child of the six children of John Thomas (Tom) and Josie Artemisia (Artie) Foote Ramey. The Ramey’s moved to Grenola, Kansas in 1908. Beryl was three years old. She met Roy Edward Belden on a blind date and they were married June 20, 1923 at Winfield, Kansas. Roy was the son of Frank Howard and Elizabeth Vlouse Belden.

Beryl and Roy Belden immigrated to San Francisco, California in March, 1929. Mr. Belden was a street car operator for 12 years. In 1941 they moved to Lakeport, California. Roy worked as a millwright, spending a short time in Potter Valley, California, on to Westwood for eight years. When the mill began to close the Belden’s made their last earthly move to Anderson, California. Mr. Belden died May 2, 1959 in Anderson.

Roy and Beryl Ramey Belden had 11 children: Josie Elizabeth, Thomas Leroy, Kathryn Jeanne, James Howard, Leonard Earl, Nina Ellen, Donald Edward, Franklin Eugene, Bernita Beryl, John Edmund, and Sylvia Grace. Two children preceded Mrs. Belden in death.

Mrs. Belden was a Genealogist, was founder of the Shasta County Historical Society and the Redding Genealogy Society, also published several books. The last book, “Driskill, Hensley, Ramey, Laquey, Hart”, by Beryl Ramey Belden, in 1984. She had an incentive to publish her last book on her ancestors from the Ozark region in Pulaski and Laclede Counties before she could make her heavenly journey home to join her many loved ones. Mrs. Belden had been suffering from cancer since 1983.

Funeral services were held January 22, 1985 at Allen and Dahl Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Logan officiating, burial was in the Anderson cemetery.

Pearl Lee (Foote) Berry 1896-1985

Pearl Lee Berry, daughter of Ashe L. and Mary Louise Hendrix Foote was born July 1, 1896 in Pulaski County and departed this life February 9, 1985 at Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of 88 years _ months and 8 days.

She was united in marriage to Charles A. Berry on October 18, 1930. Mr. Berry passed away December 8, 1951. She is also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Alva, Ferrell, and Clinton, and one sister Vena Robinson.

Pearl professed her faith in Jesus Christ as a young woman, and at the time of her death was a member of the Christian Church in Richland, where she has been a member for many years.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Foote of Laquey; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Colonial Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 1985 with John Davenport, Minister officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapels.

Escorts were Cliff Davis, Cecil Foote, Roy Peterson, Bob Scott, Eddie Foote, and Danny Larson.
