Roger Dale Fowler 1957-2006

Roger Dale Fowler, son of D.J. Fowler and Anna Fowler, was born November 19, 1957 in Livorgro, Italy.

Roger attended Waynesville Schools from 1972 until 1976 when he graduated from Waynesville High School. Later in his adult life, Roger returned to school and received an Associate Degree from Park College in Medical Records Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Management from Park College.

Being a mechanic, Roger loved race cars and in his young adult years he built and adored a 1970 Mach I Mustang that he used to race against other race friends on nearby South 17 every Saturday night. In his later years, Roger gave up building race cars and watched the races on TV with #20 Tony Stewart being his favorite NASCAR driver. Roger traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana a couple of years ago to watch the Indy 500 with a few of his close friends.

Roger enjoyed music and as a result began a new career spinning records in the local lounges. Some of his favorites were Saliva, Stain, Garth Brooks and George Strait. Many did not know this about Roger, but he also loved to write poetry and was very good at it.

Roger was a dedicated father to his daughter Shanna. She is the apple of his eye. Roger was very proud of Shanna and all she has accomplished in her lifetime. He loved her very much.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, D.J. Fowler, his mother Anna Fowler and a nephew Jeremy Fowler.

Roger will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by his daughter Shanna Fowler of Waynesville, Sister Debby and her husband Charles Cox III from Palmyra, Illinois, Sister Mary and her husband Guy Brown of Conway, Missouri, a Brother Jimmy Fowler of Palmyra, Illinois and a Sister Marianna Fowler and her significant other Robert Gurley of St. Robert. His granddaughter Kyanna Hamilton of Waynesville and the following nieces and nephews, Shawn Cox, Jason and Dawn Fowler, Alicia and William Derendorf, Charles Cox IV, Thomas January, Jennifer Fowler, Travis January, Katreena Martin, Amanda January, Zachary McCoy, Alllisyn Gurley, Ben Brown and Matt Brown, Great nieces and nephews, Avanna, Jaylynn, Tayria, Issac and Lexis, six close friends of the family Laura Fowler, Tom January, Rendy and Bruce Conant, Bobby McCoy and Ray Kidd, and a large group of friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert with Pastor Judi Tillett officiating. A video tribute of Roger's life was shown at the conclusion of the service. Serving as escorts were Kenny Bowe, Charles Cox III, Robert McCoy, Ricky Saseen, Robert Gurley and Guy Brown.

Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.

Michael Wayne Fowler 1958-1990

Michael Wayne Fowler, 32, died Tuesday, September 18, 1990 in Panama City FL. He was born in Piggott AR on May 11, 1958, the son of Theodore and Joyce (Kitchen) Fowler.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Lloyd Crane of Dixon; four sisters, Linda Null, Brenda Drake, and Glenda Fowler, all of Dixon, and Mary Fowler of Cuba; one brother, Mark Fowler, of Steelville; three nephews, Ron, Jeff and Jim; and his paternal grandmother Annabelle Fowler of Fagus MO.

Private services were held at Brown's Landing with Rev. Fred Hauck officiating, on Monday, September 24, 1990 at 10 a.m.

Arrangements were under the direction of Long Funeral Home of Dixon.

Mildred Marie (Fowler) Dye 1940-1985

Mildred Marie Dye was born a daughter to Oran W. Fowler and Hazel Marie (Lewis) Fowler on October 30, 1940 at Linn Creek, Missouri and she went to be with the Lord on March 10, 1985 at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia, Missouri, having attained the age of 44 years, 4 months, and 10 days.

Mildred accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized and united with the Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church at Montreal, Missouri. Mildred served as church pianist and Primary Sunday School teacher at Buffalo Prairie until she moved to Lebanon, Missouri in 1962. There she united with the Second Baptist Church in 1963 where she enjoyed singing in the choir. While in Lebanon Mildred was employed by the Laclede Electric Coop for 11 years in the Collector and Accounting Department.

In January of 1972 Mildred was married to Dannie Dye and they shared 13 years together. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and she was the church pianist at the time of her death. Mildred enjoyed church very much.

Mildred Marie Dye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Dannie; three sons, Dale, Gary, and Brent, all of the home, her father, Oran W. Fowler, Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Gene Fowler, Springfield, Missouri and Robert Fowler, Richland, Missouri; and a sister Erna Belle Fowler, Lebanon, Missouri.

Funeral services for Mildred Marie Dye were held Tuesday, March 12, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harmony Baptist Church with Bill Pringle and Dr. Keith Miles officiating.

Music was provided by Dr. Miles, soloist and Marjorie Link, organist.

Serving as escorts were Bill Barnes, Albert Crews, Elmer Crews, Norman Stoll, Charles Storie, and Tracie Storie.

Serving as honorary escorts were George Greenlee, Bob Kimery, Percy Kimery, and Emerson Storie.

Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel.
