Mildred accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized and united with the Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church at Montreal, Missouri. Mildred served as church pianist and Primary Sunday School teacher at Buffalo Prairie until she moved to Lebanon, Missouri in 1962. There she united with the Second Baptist Church in 1963 where she enjoyed singing in the choir. While in Lebanon Mildred was employed by the Laclede Electric Coop for 11 years in the Collector and Accounting Department.
In January of 1972 Mildred was married to Dannie Dye and they shared 13 years together. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and she was the church pianist at the time of her death. Mildred enjoyed church very much.
Mildred Marie Dye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Dannie; three sons, Dale, Gary, and Brent, all of the home, her father, Oran W. Fowler, Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Gene Fowler, Springfield, Missouri and Robert Fowler, Richland, Missouri; and a sister Erna Belle Fowler, Lebanon, Missouri.
Funeral services for Mildred Marie Dye were held Tuesday, March 12, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harmony Baptist Church with Bill Pringle and Dr. Keith Miles officiating.
Music was provided by Dr. Miles, soloist and Marjorie Link, organist.
Serving as escorts were Bill Barnes, Albert Crews, Elmer Crews, Norman Stoll, Charles Storie, and Tracie Storie.
Serving as honorary escorts were George Greenlee, Bob Kimery, Percy Kimery, and Emerson Storie.
Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel.
