Barbara Jean (Sears) Lynch 1936-2004

Barbara Jean Lynch, daughter of Dorothy Marie (Deberry) Sears and the late Clifton Eugene Sears, was born August 3, 1936 in Richland, Missouri. She departed this life the afternoon of April 5, 2004 at her home in Waynesville, Missouri at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 2 days.

On September 4, 1953, Barbara was united in marriage with James Victor Lynch and to this union four children were born, Steven Michael, Deborah Gay, James Eric and Lisa Lynn.

While growing up, Barbara attended church services at the Richland Methodist Church. However, later in life she became a baptized Catholic and attended the St. Jude's Catholic Church in Richland. She believed in visiting churches of all regions and she spent time studying the beliefs of both Western and Eastern religions. Her faith in God was an inspiration to others. She started each morning reading the Bible and in prayer with God. She believed in the good in all people.

Barbara spent her life giving loving care and compassion to others. She received her Emergency Medical Technician and Licensed Vocational Nurses training. She volunteered her time working for many different organizations throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, embroidery and gardening.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Vic of the home; her mother, Dorothy Sears of Richland; two sons: Steven Lynch and his wife, Deborah and Jim Lynch all of Waynesville; two daughters, Deborah Lynch Baxter and her husband, Ross of Sanger, Texas and Lisa Lynch of Littleton, Colorado; one brother, Tom Sears of Columbia; one sister, Judy (Sears) McCalip and her husband, John of Lebanon; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service was held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2004 at the Richland Memorial Chapel in Richland with Bro. Lee Todd and Rev. Steven Lynch officiating. Becky Lercher accompanied Rodney Blanchard as he sang "Victory In Jesus". Becky Lercher also sang "I Feel Like Traveling On". Rev. Steven Lynch concluded the service with a loving eulogy in honor of his mother. Serving as escorts were Steven Lynch Jr., Skip Sears, Harold Eugene Sears, John Jarrett, John McCalip, and Gary Carmack. Honorary escorts were Freeman Moss, Ross Baxter, Harold Wells, Carl Johnson, and Mike Goff. Burial followed in the Resurrection Cemetery of St. Robert, MO. Services were under the direction of Richland Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made in memory of Barbara Jean Lynch and may be left at the chapel.

Linda Gail (Head) Sears 1942-2007

Linda Gail (Head) Sears departed this life November 6, 2007 at her home near Richland, Missouri, at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 13 days.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at Richland United Methodist Church, Richland, Missouri with the Rev. Ralph Hosman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Swede Cemetery, Swedeborg, Missouri.
Linda Gail Sears, daughter of the late James Gardner and Marie (Calvert) Head, was born May 21, 1942 in Columbia, Missouri. Linda grew up in Columbia where she graduated from Hickman High School in 1960.
On August 31, 1963, she married Farrell Eudell "Skip" Sears. Linda and Skip were blessed with two children, Julie and Daniel, and shared over 44 years together.
Soon Linda and Skip moved to the Chicago, Illinois area where she worked in the Sears Tower as a bookkeeper for the HOMART Corporation, a commercial development company. She later went to work in the Chicago suburbs District 98 School as a bookkeeper. In 1993, Linda and Skip moved to the Richland area, where she joined the Richland United Methodist Church.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed being outdoors; whether is was camping or 4-wheeling. She loved spending time with her grandkids and treasured the times that she could spend with them and her family and friends.
Linda will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her husband; Farrell E. "Skip" Sears; two children: Julie (Glenn) Stotler of Laquey, Missouri and Danile (Jill) Sears of Oregon, Wisconsin; three siblings: Carolyn (Purn) Webb of Paducah, Kentucky, and Sandra (Bill) Montgomery and Tom Mary Kay) Head all of Columbia, Missouri; six grandchildren: James, Megan, Stephanie, Amy, Daniel and Hannah; two great grandchildren: Erin and Bryn; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
