Linda Gail (Head) Sears 1942-2007

Linda Gail (Head) Sears departed this life November 6, 2007 at her home near Richland, Missouri, at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 13 days.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at Richland United Methodist Church, Richland, Missouri with the Rev. Ralph Hosman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Swede Cemetery, Swedeborg, Missouri.
Linda Gail Sears, daughter of the late James Gardner and Marie (Calvert) Head, was born May 21, 1942 in Columbia, Missouri. Linda grew up in Columbia where she graduated from Hickman High School in 1960.
On August 31, 1963, she married Farrell Eudell "Skip" Sears. Linda and Skip were blessed with two children, Julie and Daniel, and shared over 44 years together.
Soon Linda and Skip moved to the Chicago, Illinois area where she worked in the Sears Tower as a bookkeeper for the HOMART Corporation, a commercial development company. She later went to work in the Chicago suburbs District 98 School as a bookkeeper. In 1993, Linda and Skip moved to the Richland area, where she joined the Richland United Methodist Church.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed being outdoors; whether is was camping or 4-wheeling. She loved spending time with her grandkids and treasured the times that she could spend with them and her family and friends.
Linda will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her husband; Farrell E. "Skip" Sears; two children: Julie (Glenn) Stotler of Laquey, Missouri and Danile (Jill) Sears of Oregon, Wisconsin; three siblings: Carolyn (Purn) Webb of Paducah, Kentucky, and Sandra (Bill) Montgomery and Tom Mary Kay) Head all of Columbia, Missouri; six grandchildren: James, Megan, Stephanie, Amy, Daniel and Hannah; two great grandchildren: Erin and Bryn; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
