James Joseph & Bessie Irene Egan d. 25 Ocober 1960

Rosary services for James Joseph Egan and his wife, Bessie Irene, both 63, Waynesville residents who were killed in a traffic accident near Quincy, Ill. Tuesday, will be at 7:30 o'clock tonight in Hedges Funeral Home, Waynesville.

The double funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Robert Catholic Church, near Waynesville, with the Rev. Leo Stamm officiating.

Burial for Mr. Egan will be in Waynesville Memorial Cemetery. The remains of Mrs. Egan will be sent to Santa Monica, Calif., and placed in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

The operator of a garage and wrecker service, Mr. Egan was active in state and county Democratic politics. He was also engaged in the construction business.

Survivors of the couple include a son, Milford, and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Egan's survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. O.R. Scott, Canoga, Calif., three brothers and three sisters.
