Nanna Pearl (Farris) Kelley 1895-1986

Nanna Pearl Kelley was born July 29, 1895 at Wildwood, Missouri, a daughter of George Washington Farris and Amanda Jane Rickerson Farris.  She departed this life May 26, 1986 at the age of 90 years, nine months, 27 days.

Pearl was united in marriage on November 9, 1918 to John Emmett Kelley and to this union 10 children were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Emmett Kelley and four sons: Emery Lee, Willis Everol, Paul Woodrow, and Roy David.

Pearl gave her life to Christ many years ago, and united with the Body of Christ, being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, unto which she  was faithful until her death.

Those left to mourn her passing include her sons: John of National City, California; Donnally of Largo, Florida; Clyde of Crocker, Missouri; Kenneth, Lloyd, and Junior of Waynesville, Missouri; her daughter, Bonnie Lammers of Lawton, Oklahoma; 44 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren; many relatives and friends.

Mrs. Kelley had nine sons who served their country in the armed forces during the Second World War and the Korean Conflict.

Pearl will be sadly missed by all.

Visitation was held Wednesday, May 28, 1986 after 4:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 29, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Willard Frazer officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Dorothy Moore.

Escorts were the grandsons.

Honorary escorts were the nephews.

Interment was held in the Newburg Cemetery at Newburg, Missouri under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Anna Benilda Rickerson 1916-2005

Anna Benilda Rickerson went home to be with her Lord on April 5, 2005 at her home in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 18 days.

Anna was born September 18, 1916 in Hempstead, New York, one of six children born to the union of the late Samuel and Ida (Byne) Sternbergh. Her brothers, Henry, Thomas and Alfred, and her sisters, Ida and Margarite preceded Anna in death.

Anna grew up in Pennsylvania where she graduated from high school. After graduation, Anna traveled extensively in both the United States and abroad. In 1962, she received her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the nursing school in Chicago, Illinois.

On May 11, 1940, Anna married Deloy Sinclair in the Republic of Panama, and to this union three daughters were born, Carolyn, Annabell and Gloria Jean. Annabell and Gloria Jean preceded Anna in death.

On March 5, 1966, in Waynesville, Missouri, Anna was united in marriage with James W. Rickerson. Anna and James shared nearly 20 years of marriage before James preceded her in death on December 4, 1985.

Anna was fluent in Spanish, and while living in New York, worked for several years as a bi-lingual telephone operator. She also loved being a nurse, and took care of people all of her life, even to her last day was still taking care of her friend, John Marley.

Anna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesville. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, writing and was a wonderful cook.

She will be fondly remembered by her daughter: Carolyn McGlaughlin of Miami, Florida; her nephew: Matt Masters of Lebanon; one sister-in-law: Barbara Sternbergh of Graham, North Carolina; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 9, 2005 in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wilbur Harbaugh officiating. Rev. Benito Perez read Psalm 23 in Spanish. Anna's niece and nephew, Lisa Masters Smith and Matt Masters gave a beautiful eulogy. Pianist Becky Lercher accompanied Soloist Cory Seay as he sang "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden". Serving as escorts were David Deckard, Rob Killmore, Levi Long, Mark Raney, Rodney Rickerson and Chad Seay. Serving as honorary escorts were Joe Kelley, Luke Masters and James Rickerson.

Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Michael Anthony Rickerson 1975-2006

Michael Anthony Rickerson was born August 20, 1975 in Columbia, Missouri. He was one of two children and the only son born to the union of George Anthony and Patricia Kay (Brantley) Rickerson,

Mike departed this life the evening of October 10, 2006, at his home near Waynesville, Missouri, at the age of 31 years, 1 month and 20 days.

Mike was a 1994 graduate of Laquey High School. He married Sheila Hastings on July 9, 2005 in Waynesville.

Mike worked in heavy construction, and was a very skilled welder. He was employed with Bell Plumbing for several years. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed playing his guitar and being outdoors, especially fishing. He also treasured time with his family and many friends.

Mike was dearly loved, and will be fondly remembered by his wife: Sheila of the home; one daughter: Searcey Rickerson of Dixon, MO; one step-son: Dylan Jarrett of Springfield, MO; his parents: Tony and Kay Rickerson of Waynesville, MO; one sister: Michelle Phillips of Mexia, TX; maternal grandmother: Vivian Brantley of Fort Worth, TX; nieces and nephews: CheyeAnn Phillips, Justin Phillips and Kaylin Kempker; several other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 13, 2006 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert with Rev. Danny Graves officiating. The songs "Peace In The Valley", "Amazing Grace" and "I'll Fly Away" were played.

Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.

James Everett Rickerson 1896-1940

Funeral Rites Held For Everett Rickerson

Everett Rickerson was born May 10, 1896, and departed this life Feb. 25, 1940 at the age of 43 years, 8 months, and 10 days.

He was united in marriage to Nellie Tomlinson August 23, 1916 and to this union 14 children were born, one preceding him in death.

The deceased is survived by his widow, 13 children: Mrs. Irene Baasch of Waynesville; James, Andrew, Bertha, Margie, Lulu, Robert, Freda, Josephine, Jean, Georgia, Barabara, and Lonnie all of the home; two sisters: Mary Bales of Waynesville and mrs. Florence Gibson of Liberty, Mo; three brothers: Jess of Waynesville and Lewis of Richland.

Everett was converted at an eraly age and united with the Church of Christ of which he remained a faithful member until his death.

Funeral services were held at the F.M.A. Tabernacle at Gospel Ridge, Rev. Charley Roach officiating, with burial in Mitchell Cemetery at Waynesville under direction of Hoops & Sons.
