James Everett Rickerson 1896-1940

The following was published in the Pulaski County Democrat Thursday, February 29, 1940.

Funeral Rites Held For Everett Rickerson

Everett Rickerson was born May 10, 1896, and departed this life Feb. 25, 1940 at the age of 43 years, 8 months, and 10 days.

He was united in marriage to Nellie Tomlinson August 23, 1916 and to this union 14 children were born, one preceding him in death.

The deceased is survived by his widow, 13 children: Mrs. Irene Baasch of Waynesville; James, Andrew, Bertha, Margie, Lulu, Robert, Freda, Josephine, Jean, Georgia, Barabara, and Lonnie all of the home; two sisters: Mary Bales of Waynesville and mrs. Florence Gibson of Liberty, Mo; three brothers: Jess of Waynesville and Lewis of Richland.

Everett was converted at an eraly age and united with the Church of Christ of which he remained a faithful member until his death.

Funeral services were held at the F.M.A. Tabernacle at Gospel Ridge, Rev. Charley Roach officiating, with burial in Mitchell Cemetery at Waynesville under direction of Hoops & Sons.
