Michael Anthony Rickerson 1975-2006

Michael Anthony Rickerson was born August 20, 1975 in Columbia, Missouri. He was one of two children and the only son born to the union of George Anthony and Patricia Kay (Brantley) Rickerson,

Mike departed this life the evening of October 10, 2006, at his home near Waynesville, Missouri, at the age of 31 years, 1 month and 20 days.

Mike was a 1994 graduate of Laquey High School. He married Sheila Hastings on July 9, 2005 in Waynesville.

Mike worked in heavy construction, and was a very skilled welder. He was employed with Bell Plumbing for several years. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed playing his guitar and being outdoors, especially fishing. He also treasured time with his family and many friends.

Mike was dearly loved, and will be fondly remembered by his wife: Sheila of the home; one daughter: Searcey Rickerson of Dixon, MO; one step-son: Dylan Jarrett of Springfield, MO; his parents: Tony and Kay Rickerson of Waynesville, MO; one sister: Michelle Phillips of Mexia, TX; maternal grandmother: Vivian Brantley of Fort Worth, TX; nieces and nephews: CheyeAnn Phillips, Justin Phillips and Kaylin Kempker; several other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 13, 2006 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert with Rev. Danny Graves officiating. The songs "Peace In The Valley", "Amazing Grace" and "I'll Fly Away" were played.

Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.
